Our client is a Data-driven CRO that serves the Life Sciences industry globally, through RWE, Clinical Project Management, eClinical Solutions, Clinical Data Management, Consulting, and as an FSP within Clinical Trials.

The position is to be a Senior Business Developer with a focus on the Belgium (and/or France) territory.


  • Take ownership of deploying the company's commercial strategy by creating and maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects in the extended life sciences sector.
  • Explore new client opportunities to achieve a balanced portfolio of sales opportunities in the short and long term.
  • Address the needs of clients and prospects, initiating discussions on potential solutions, particularly for those unfamiliar with the company and its offerings.
  • Comprehend the requirements of clients operating in R&D, Industrial Operations, or Data and Digital departments within life science companies or institutions.
  • Strive to advance the development of treatments, medical devices, and healthcare products.
  • Leverage targeted online campaigns, social networks, and inbound marketing strategies to position the company's value propositions and track customer/prospect interest.
  • Coordinate the company's interactions with clients throughout the RFP process, from initial opportunity identification to bid defense and subsequent follow-up.
  • Gather feedback from outbound prospecting activities to refine the company's marketing strategy, initiatives, and commercial campaigns, thereby bolstering the commercial pipeline.
  • Expand industry knowledge and enhance the company's competitive positioning.
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive weekly reporting of qualitative and quantitative results to customers and prospects within your commercial territory.
  • Provide support to Sales and Line of Business Managers as necessary, assisting with additional business development activities.


  • Demonstrate a track record of at least 5 years of successful experience as a Business Developer, preferably within the life sciences and consulting sector.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the contract research organization (CRO) market and its dynamics.
  • Exhibit the ability to quickly grasp and learn about emerging technologies, particularly in the areas of data and digital, and effectively apply them to the healthcare industry.
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential, while proficiency in German would be valued.
  • Operate autonomously with a results-oriented mindset, while maintaining a strategic vision.
  • Display excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach to service.
